For Canadian film and animation composer, Brandon Liew, honesty is a virtue that resonates deeply and manifests as authenticity through his music.

Operating as a one-man studio band, Liew specializes in producing hybrid scores which often feature electric guitars, lush synthesizers, and intimate orchestral elements. Liew enjoys creative novelty and combining experimental approaches from ambient, lofi, and contemporary electronic music genres with traditional scoring techniques to create modern film music. He is a graduate of the Berklee College of Music Film Scoring program and was a finalist for the 2017 Sundance Music and Sound Design Lab.

Collaboration with filmmakers and animators is key to bringing out the central emotions in their films through music. He is dedicated to providing an authentic musical narrative for each story according to the needs and artistic goals of his clients. Liew has composed music for feature films, animation, advertisements, and games. His clients include the Jane Goodall Institute, Andrea Gerstmann (Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network), elle+elle (IMAX Commercial), Tiny Siren Animation (Amazon Prime Web-Series), and whensmokeclears.

Liew is currently based in Los Angeles, California, and works as a freelance composer.
