Brandon Liew is a music producer and composer for television, film, and games.
He works with electronic music producer and composers Ryan & Courtney Lofty (Future Vega) on Fast & Furious Spy Racers (2019), Cleopatra in Space (2019), Doug Unplugs (2020), and Not Quite Narwhal (2023) for DreamWorks Animation.
Brandon is the composer of Battu, a short animated hip hop musical from Chaz Bottoms (Director/Writer/Animator) and Academy Award winner Matthew A. Cherry (Executive Producer). He also produced the theme songs for Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight (2022) and Abominable and The Invisible City (2022) for DreamWorks Animation.
As an artist, Brandon’s sound combines j-pop production with k-pop influenced melodies and hyperpop textures. His debut EP, VIRTUAL CANDY (2021), "warps you into a full-throttle tour of the neon-pink virtual world, exploding with soda pop pleasure" (From the Intercom) through the lens of internet inspired j-pop and kawaii electronic music. He produced Ami Amami's debut single, “Drops of Sunshine”, from PRISM Project Gen 5 distributed by Sony Music Japan.
Brandon is based in Calgary, AB, Canada, where he sometimes misses the sunny weather of Los Angeles (only a little).
